Santorum Slams DCCC for Calling War Veteran Lee Zeldin a Coward
Patriot Voices PAC Endorses Zeldin for Congress in NY-1

Verona, PA - Former U.S. Senator, former Republican presidential candidate, chairman of Patriot Voices and author of Blue Collar Conservatives Rick Santorum issued the following statement about the Democratic Campaign Congressional Committee's (DCCC) attack on Lee Zeldin in his run for Congress in New York's first Congressional district.

"This is an unbelievably egregious attack on an American hero by the DCCC.  To call this brave veteran a 'coward' despite his courageous service in Iraq as a paratrooper is stooping to a new low even for the DCCC. Despite their efforts to walk these comments back, the DCCC has shown their complete and utter disregard for those who serve this country," Santorum said.

"Patriot Voices PAC is pleased to stand with Lee Zeldin.  Not only is he a great American hero, but Lee is the right kind of candidate right now - committed to improving economic opportunities for hardworking Americans, steadfast in wanting to stop ObamaCare, and an advocate for the unborn.  Lee's background in the military and his service in Iraq strengthens his appreciation for the needs and priorities of our Armed Forces.  That understanding will serve him and his constituents well in Congress," Santorum continued.

"As a state senator, Lee fought to roll back burdensome taxes that were crippling small businesses.  He also is committed to fighting for our veterans who have given so much to our nation.  I am confident that in Congress Lee Zeldin will fight to restore the American dream for all families, and Patriot Voices PAC is pleased to support him," Santorum concluded.
