Kiddie Tractor Pull
awards 72 trophies… all were winners

Words of support and encouragement from parents, grandparents, aunts,
uncles, and friends punctuated the air as these 3-year-olds resolutely
pedaled their way along the floor of the Swine Building at the 2011
Darke County Fair.
The event was conducted by the National Kiddie Tractor Pullers
Association.
Over 90 children, from the ages of three through eight, pedaled
tractors pulling weighted sleds sometimes carrying as much as 250
pounds, down a 30-foot pull lane.
All the children received a blue participation ribbon and the top 12
children in each age group received trophies. The top three in each age class
qualified to pull at the Grand National Tractor Pull.
This event, among many at the Great Darke County Fair, demonstrated the
impressive character, ethics, and values of the residents of Darke
County.
