Ladies’ Auxiliary to Greenville’s VFW Post 7262 hosted Chris Stamcoff of Towne Squares Quilt Club (TSQC) at a recent meeting. Chris explained the details of a special project being done by the quilters.

TSQC has joined the Quilt of Valor (QOV) program. The QOV program has as its mission to cover ALL those service- members and veterans touched by war with quilts. The TSQC has set their goal at 20 quilts for local military personnel that have been injured in service to our Country.

The TSQC has been asking community groups to help sponsor this project. The cost of the materials for one quilt is $54. The Ladies’ Auxiliary to VFW Post 7262 proudly joined the list of sponsors.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on National Quilting Day – March 19 – TSQC members will be at the Chestnut Village Center of the Brethren Home Retirement Community, demonstrating their quilting skills while working on their QOV project.
