American Legion Post presents Darke County
Parks with new flag
Just in time for Memorial Day, members of the American Legion Post 140,
presented Darke County Parks with a new flag. Members, Dwight
Thompson, Carl Wetzel, Robert Foster and John Brumbaugh delivered the
donated flag and ceremoniously hung it with pride over the parking lot
at Shawnee Prairie Preserve. Park Director Roger VanFrank stated,
“We are honored and thankful for the service these veterans provided to
our country and we are so very pleased with their continued support of
Darke County Parks.”
