Kiwanis initiates new members

Greenville Kiwanis Vice President Betsy Ward (left) initiates new members: Christina Chalmers, Mary Lane, Shawn Daugherty and Mike Stegall. Kiwanis is an organization dedicated to serving the local community and its young people through community service, sponsorship and donations.

Community service projects and donations include Christmas Bell Ringing, Kiwanis OneDay, books for Woodland Heights students and more. Annual fundraising projects include a Pancake Breakfast at Greenville High School and collecting tickets at Gate 5 during the Darke County Fair. Projects Kiwanis supports include GHS Key Club and Special Olympics.

It is open to any resident who wishes to join in that service. Kiwanis meets at noon every Wednesday at the Chestnut Village Center, Brethren Retirement Community.
