Claire Sherman, Key Club President

Busy weekend for Key Club members

Key Club Officers, along with a young helper, braved frosty weather and tackled several Greenville homes Saturday morning, raking leaves for the club’s annual Rake ‘n Run.

“Rakin’ and runnin’” were Key Club President Claire Sherman, Secretary Pankti Bhavsa, Newsletter Editor Jenilee Braun and Claire’s young cousin Sife Makombe.

The following morning at 7 a.m. Key Clubbers took off for Columbus for the Ohio District’s Annual Key Club International Fall Rally. Hundreds of Key Club officers and members from around the state participate in a variety of educational opportunities, get-acquainted activities and community service events.

Attending this year’s event were Sherman, Bhavsa, Vice President Scott Wirrig, Treasurer Dan Cox and Tyler Fritz. Also participating were KCI District Secretary Mariah Reitz and KCI Div. 3 Ohio District Lt. Gov. Natasha Swank.

The next major project for the Greenville High School group will be Greenville Kiwanis’ annual Bell Ringing for local charities, which begins the day after Thanksgiving in front of Penneys Department Story.
