Ghouls & Goblins invade South Broadway

Ghouls, Ghosts, Goblins, Draculas, Clowns, Sponge Bob Squarepants, Princesses… just about every fantasy (or real) creature you can think of, invaded South Broadway Thursday evening Greenville’s the annual Beggars Night.

They came for the festivities. They came for the parade… and they came for the treats being offered by dozens of businesses from Martin Street to the Circle.

The event was organized by Main Street Greenville with the help of Antonia Baker, Second National Bank, Joan Brandt, Commercial Printing, Mary Lane, Staffmark, and Julie Kessen, Granny’s Corner. Over 50 business and 225 volunteers participated.

Beggars Night followed the Lions Club’s annual Halloween Parade; and the event included a Haunted House and a luminary display of pumpkins at The Circle.

According to a Main Street Greenville press release, “What better way to have the businesses say thank you to the community and bring everyone together for a fun filled evening?”

So did they have fun? Check out the photos and decide for yourself.
