Encounter Marketing Announces Watson as New Partner

VERSAILLES, OH – October 10, 2011 – Encounter Marketing is pleased to announce Candace Watson of Bellefontaine, Ohio has joined as new partner, effective October 1. Watson will bring over 20 years of marketing, sales and business planning experience to the small town agency. 

“Candace brings the expertise and dedication to the small town marketplace and clientele we were hoping to find in a new partner. I’m looking forward to working with her,” said Matt Heffner, Co-Founder and Digital Marketing Consultant for the local agency. “Encounter Marketing carries a unique service model so it was important we choose an individual that share in the hallmarks of our business,” said Heffner. “Candace not only has roots deeply founded in small town business environments but she has a drive and passion that is contagious. I’m happy to bring her in as a partner.” 

Before joining the agency, Watson worked across public and private sectors, earning a solid reputation as an accomplished integrated marketing professional. “It is very rewarding to help entrepreneurs and small business owners, and I’m excited to now have the opportunity to wear the hat myself,” said Watson. Watson resigned as Tourism & Public Relations Director for the Union County Chamber of Commerce in September to pursue work and part ownership in Encounter Marketing. “This is an exciting time for our business right now,” Watson explained. “I’ve seen it often; business owners, entrepreneurs and non-profits in small town communities simply find marketing or business planning guidance too costly to obtain. We fill that gap and that really energizes me.” 

Watson joins Heffner, and Co-Founder, Tonya Ramsey, who serves as Senior Consultant for the agency. Encounter Marketing services Darke and Hardin Counties. However, with the addition of Watson, the agency will expand its West Central Ohio service territory to include Delaware, Union and Logan Counties as well.
