  Bits & Pieces

Great Darke County Fair...

By Elaine Bailey with additional photos from Lyn Bliss & Bob Robinson

Editor’s Note: Many photos don’t fit into special categories. Following are miscellaneous photos by Elaine Bailey with notes on her conversations and observations. Lyn Bliss and Bob Robinson continued to have camera ready for more fair goers on a mission or just having a good time.

From Elaine Bailey…

Caleb Wagner from Enon, Ohio is not sure that he wants to be a farmer, but he knows that he likes to pretend that he is driving a tractor.

Ran into Teen Scribe Christal Smith.  Encouraged her to write another article for CNO’s Teen Scribes.  Took this picture to inspire her.  She thought the loft in the Victorian playhouse would make a nice writing spot.

The Eldora Speedway simulation tent with representative Jonathan Bateman was a popular stop for young and old alike.

We are from Wa`pa ko net a, as the misses stressed the appropriate pronunciation of their community.  Their favorite activities at the Great Darke County Fair are the dog shows and tractor pulls.  The mister was a tractor puller and has participated in Division II for many years.

Laura Drew from Centerville, Ohio concentrates on making it to the top.

Vicky & Patty  (wanted to go by maiden name Tryon). Patty returned for 45th class reunion.

A lady in purple… unnamed but obviously enjoying herself.

Finally, random photos by Bliss and Robinson… anyone look familiar? Many old friendships are renewed at the Great Darke County Fair.
