Cancer Assn receives memorial gift from Memory Walk. 

A 3K Memory Walk for Carla Swank was held on Saturday, June 9, 2012.  The event was coordinated by “Cousins for Carla” with over 80 participants registering. A grand total of $1569.00 was presented directly to the Cancer Association of Darke County. 

Two Pampered Chef gift baskets were donated by Virginia Metzcar of New Madison and raffled off for additional funds.  Donuts were provided by Square Donuts of Richmond, IN and coffee/water by the cousins. 

The goal was to make this an enjoyable family event that would honor Carla but also give back to the community through the local chapter of the Cancer Association.  It was a fantastic morning of mixed but wonderful emotions with a financial impact that will immediately assist other Darke County families. 

The cousins would like to extend their appreciation for the outpouring of support and generosity.  A follow-up event will be planned for early Spring 2013.
