The Greenville High School Alumni Association had its annual Open House recently at the G.H.S. Cafeteria. The event was free. It was attended by “friends” of GHS, teachers, staff members past and present, and others interested in GHS.

It was a chance for G.H.S. alums to reconnect with their past. Three were over 100 tri-fold boards with pictures from all 101 yearbooks. Last year they first showed the 84 boards with all 18,000+ senior photos scanned from the yearbooks. This was a first time showing the senior picture of everyone who has graduated in the past 100 years. This year we had all of these boards back again.

For the first time we had new listings of 4 and 5 generation families who have graduated from Greenville High School. This covered from the first graduation in 1873 through 2011, and to date we found about 40 families who qualify.

There were listings of the “Big Families” of Greenville High School, featuring the families with the most siblings graduating from GHS. You had to attend the Open House to find out who the largest families are.
