2012 Key Club officers kick off a new year

GHS Key Club...
2011-12 club provided nearly 1,300 hours of community service

Sarah Herzog, 2012-13 GHS Key Club President, kicked off multiple planned events for the student-led community service group with a fundraiser car wash at Dave Knapp Ford recently. Several students participated, including officers and members from the 2011-12 and 2012-13 clubs.

The 2011-12 Greenville High School Key Club performed 1,273 hours of community service under the leadership of President Claire Sherman.

Some of their projects included cleanups in Greenville Township cemeteries, helping with Continental Carbonic Open House, Kiwanis Fair Gate Five, Tour de Donut, Trick or Treat for FISH, Kiwanis Bell Ringing, Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, Maple Syrup Festival, Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, Box City and more.

Century Key Club Volunteers (100 hours or more) were Mariah Reitz (Key Club International District Secretary), President Claire Sherman, Vice President Scott Wirrig and Co-Secretary Pankti Bhavsar. Other top volunteers included Treasurer Dan Cox, Editor Jenilee Braun, 2012-13 Division 15 Ohio District Lt. Governor Darpan Kaur, 2011-12 Division 15 Ohio District Lt. Governorn Natasha Swank, 2012-13 Vice President Rebecca Braun, Tyler Fritz and Co-Secretary Cierra Whitesel.

Volunteering a minimum of 15 hours throughout the year were Glen Hoff, 2012-13 President Sarah Herzog, Erica Waller, Heath Marker, Krutant Mehta, Kirby Lantz, Alexis Medley and Mercedes Chumbly.

Herzog started her presidency with a car wash at Dave Knapp Ford. The group raised funds to help with club expenses and community service donations next year.
