Memorial 5k Walk/Run held in honor of Dale Allen Tester

 On August 18, 2012 the Family and Friends of Dale Allen Tester held a memorial 5k Walk/Run in honor of Dale and on what would have been Dale's 53rd Birthday.  Dale passed away on March 26, 2012 due to complications from Melanoma Skin Cancer.  Proceeds from Dale's Memorial 5k were split 50/50 between the Cancer Association of Darke County and the Melanoma Research Foundation.  The Family and Friends of Dale Allen Tester would like to thank all of those who sponsored and participated in Dale's 5k and for all of the overwhelming support provided by the community. Most importantly the Family and Friends of Dale Allen Tester would like to thank those who honored the memory of the man with the best smile, the greatest laugh and the biggest heart.    

The Cancer Association of Darke County wishes to express their thanks for the donation which will be used to help patients in Darke County to battle the devastating disease of cancer. The association partners with United Way and serves only local patients.  It is not affiliated with the American Cancer Society.  Volunteer drivers are always needed to drive patients to their appointments for checkups, treatments, scans, etc.  If you would like to help or have any questions, please call the office and speak to Christine Yount, Executive Director.
