Darke County GOP Hold Grand Opening
By Lyn Bliss, Assistant Editor

“It was really great to see this many people turn out for our grand opening,” said Republican Party Chairman Cindy Pike, as an over-flowing crowd gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently.

The Darke County Republican Party (DCRP) headquarters is located at 110 North Broadway in Greenville (former home of Aunt Millie’s). During October, and until the general election on November 6, the headquarters will be open Monday through Thursday from noon until 7 p.m. On Fridays, the hours will be noon to 6 p.m. Saturdays’ hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Republican candidates, or candidates endorsed by the Republican Party, who will be appearing on the November 6 General Election ballot are: Mitt Romney for President, Paul Ryan for Vice President, Josh Mandel for U. S. Senate, Eighth District U.S. Representative John Boehner, Ohio Supreme Court Justice Robert R. Cupp, Ohio Supreme Court Justice Terrence O’Donnell, Sharon Kennedy for Ohio Supreme Court Justice, 12th District Ohio Senator Keith Faber, Jeff Welbaum for Second District Court of Appeals, 80th District Ohio Representative Richard N. Adams, 84th District Ohio Representative Jim Buchy, Stanley Jackson for First District Ohio School Board, Darke County Clerk of Courts Cindy Pike, Darke County Commissioner Diane Delaplane, Darke County Commissioner Mike Rhoades, Darke County Coroner Timothy Kathman, Juvenile/Probate Judge Jason Aslinger, Darke County Prosecuting Attorney R. Kelly Ormsby, Darke County Recorder Linda Stachler and Darke County Sheriff Toby L. Spencer. Campaign literature and yard signs are available for all of these candidates.

Also, literature is available explaining why a “no” vote on Issue 2 is preferable and recommended. The Ohio Republican Party, the Darke County Republican Executive Committee, the Darke County Republican Men’s Club and the Darke County Republican Women’s Club have all endorsed a “no” vote on Issue 2.
