Share your Lifetime of Experience

You’ve gained a lifetime of experience.  Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through the RSVP/HandsOn West Central Ohio volunteer program in Darke County.
 
With the RSVP program older adults aged 55 and better choose how and where to serve and also the amount of time you want to give.  We help you find the opportunity that’s just right for you to not only help others but help yourself, because volunteering also leads to new discoveries and new friends.
 
The following is a list of new opportunities that are available:

Tutor with children age 7 to 12 years old at local youth program – work after school or in early evenings.  The volunteer will be doing one-on-one homework help with children. A criminal background check is required.  Make a difference in a child’s life!                   

Receptionist for a local non-profit – they need a volunteer to work every other Thursday 12:00 to 3:00 or on Fridays or Saturdays.  Help this non-profit help others!

Classroom tutor with teens in grades 9 to 12 at a local alternative school – work one-on-one with teens on class work during the school day.  Times available Monday – Thursday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.  A criminal background check is required.  Help a youth get ahead in school!

Bingo assistant for a local retirement home – assist the activity director and residents on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings from 7-8:00 pm.  Help give seniors recreation involvements!
