Athletic Boosters tournament a success  

The Annual Greenville Athletic Boosters’ Golf Tournament had another successful year; with 88 golfers and numerous volunteers at Turtle Creek Golf Course Saturday, June 29.

A great event ... said Boosters President Dave Ernst…all that participated had a great time and raised money to benefit our athletic programs.  I am surprised by how many people came out to support Greenville Athletic Boosters.”  Participants were able to purchase into the 50/50 raffle during the event, a special thank you to Mr. Kyle Kagey for donating his winnings back to the Athletic Boosters. 

This event is one of the Boosters’ largest fundraisers and would not be possible without our local business sponsorships.  Thank you to Advanced Eyecare, Aramark, Brethren Retirement Community, Club 7 Sports, Dr. Craig Leland, Dr. Douglass Gordon,  Dr. Ryan Cherry, Dr. Stephen Stentzel, Drew Ag, Eikenberry’s, Greenville Federal, Greenville National Bank, Hansbarger Home Solutions, Hittle Buick Cadillac GMC, Jim Gable Insurance, Johnston Chiropractic, MJS Plastics, Mote & Associates, Neff Company, Oliver Floyd Funeral Home, Second National Bank, The Flower Patch, Wayne Health Care, Williamson Insurance, John & Ginger Warner and Zechar Bailey Funeral Home and a special thanks to HER Realty–Sue Bowman, Hounshells and Shields for donating food used during the cook-out for this event. 

Congratulations to the following individuals for their outstanding golf shots!  Winners for Closest to the Pin were Nathan Marley (#6) and Matt Beck (#11), the Longest Drive awards went to Micah Coblentz (#1) and Ben Stebbins (#14) and individual’s sinking the Longest Putt were Regan Bowman (#9) and Zach Melling (#18).  

The 4-person team taking First-Place consisted of players, Rich Rosinski, Mike Rosinski, Ben Studabaker, and Jerrod Newland with a final score of 12-under to round out their day.
