Versailles Area Historical Society Museum dedicated

The Versailles Area Historical Society’s Museum was dedicated on June 13. The theme was “Honoring our past; educating the present; and preserving for the future.”

A Welcome Volley was provided by Darke County Parks while the invocation was given by Pam Groff, Member Living Waters Ministry. The Versailles High School Band played the National Anthem.

The program included the following:

Remarks by the Mayor of the Village of Versailles
Remarks by Debra Pohl, President of the Versailles Area Historical Society
The Museum Dedication
Honoring Our Ancestors with a twenty-one gun salute
American Legion Post & V.F.W. Posts from Versailles, North Star, & Osgood
The Playing of Taps
The Benediction – James Kelch, Member of Trinity Lutheran Church
“America the Beautiful” by the Versailles High School Band
The Ribbon Cutting by Versailles Chamber of Commerce & the Trustees of the Versailles Area Historical Society
Tours and refreshments were offered after the program.
