Great Ohio Shake Out!

GREENVILLE – At 10:17 a.m. Oct. 17 millions of people “Dropped, Covered and Held On” in the Great Central U.S. ShakeOut, the region’s largest earthquake drill ever.

Lynne Gump, director of the American Red Cross, Darke County Chapter, told members and guests at the Kiwanis of Greenville meeting Oct. 16 about the drill and the possible danger of an earthquake in Southwest Ohio.

Kiwanian Dave Keiser was kind enough to demonstrate the safety procedure for the group.

Kiwanis meets weekly Wednesdays at noon at the Chestnut Community Center, Brethren Retirement Community.
