Hummel, Addis take top “Littles” honors

GREENVILLE – At the end of an unexpected long evening, Ava Hummel was crowned Little Miss Darke County Fair Queen; she joined Little Mister Darke County Fair King Evan Addis, who had been crowned earlier in the evening. The unexpected event was a transformer issue requiring the Little Miss & Mister Pageant to be shut down for nearly an hour shortly after Addis was crowned, so a new transformer could be put in place.

The show, however, continued with all participants present after the delay and Hummel was crowned Little Miss. Hummel, 5, is the daughter of Jared & Christi Hummel; Addis, 5, is the son of Larry & Amy Addis.

Rounding out the top four boys were first runner-up Hunter Meyers, 4, son of Scott & Darlene Meyers, second runner-up Daniel Davis, 4, son of Marah & Dylan Davis and third runner-up Aaron Wright, 5, son of Clint & Charlene Wright. Rounding out the top four girls were first runner-up Adeline Wooten, 5, daughter of Brad & Lacy Wooten, second runner-up Averi K. Ahrns, 3, daughter of Karl & Tyanna Ahrns and third runner-up Destiny Vanatta, 5, daughter of Sherry Rodeheffer...
