Whiting shows
her prize-winning Polish
GREENVILLE – Ten-year-old Alli Whiting was busy putting wood shavings
into the cages of her prize-winning White Crusted Polish roosters.
“These Polish got a first last year,” she said, pointing to the second
cage. She finished spreading out the shavings in the first cage, then
grabbed a scoop-full to put in the cage of her prize winners.
The birds above them were also hers, but she didn’t have much else to
say about them except they were “mixtures.”
Alli, a member of Arcanum’s 4H Silver Hoofs, was successful her
first year and hoped to do well again this year. “I got a second a
