to the KitchenAid Experience
Hello again! For this week’s edition of “Follow Baleigh”, Director
Deanna York introduced me to the KitchenAid Experience Retail Center
located in downtown Greenville.
Again, this is another attraction in Darke County that I haven’t had
the pleasure of visiting, and I know what most of you are probably
thinking, “Of course! What would an eighteen-year-old without a house
of her own need from a kitchen store?”
Well, let me put your mind at ease. KitchenAid may sell many countertop
appliances and gadgets, but this isn’t all it has to offer… Cooking
classes are also offered on Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays.
Customers gather around the demonstration kitchen to learn the full use
of some of the countertop appliances including the legendary Stand
Mixer, as well as new culinary techniques and tricks of the trade. Who
wouldn’t be attracted to that?
Food is always a necessity, so learning new tips is beneficial for the
food-lovers in your family. While you are in the store, be sure to
check out the popular heritage museum they have put together
downstairs. They have vintage KitchenAid stand mixers set up so that
one may view just how far we have come in society. It is a truly
amazing sight to see. To look at what people used almost 100 years ago,
it was hard to imagine how they got by! It definitely makes me thankful
for the technology we use today.
Now, if I still haven’t grabbed your attention with the features this
store has to offer, maybe speaking about The Legendary Sidewalk Sales
will peak your interest. From what I hear, this is a MUST do for anyone
looking for a good bargain. Note: I do not use the word legendary
lightly… This really is a very popular sale! Prices are ridiculously
low, but to get to them, you must get up ridiculously early because
customers begin lining the streets of downtown Greenville early in the
morning in hopes of being one of the first 200 shoppers to get in and
receive a free gift. Yes, a FREE gift. Why wouldn’t you go check this
place out? It is well worth your time to visit, and I know I definitely
plan to return. You may find me in the kitchen munching on goodies!
A visit to the KitchenAid Experience Retail Center is a great day-trip
for all members of your family.
