Little ones spread the Christmas spirit by caroling

GREENVILLE – “Okay… get your loud voices out… really loud now!” The music started and a dozen little voices began belting out “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” with the emphasis (and a downward swing of their arms) on “wish!”

Their efforts on Dec. 15 were greeted with smiles and applause when they finished. At the Coffee Pot customers stopped what they were doing and watched, grinning, as EUM students treated them to the Merry Christmas favorite, plus Jingle Bells (complete with bells). The kids were rewarded with candy canes.

One customer grinned and said, “Pretty sweet.” His companion said she loved the holidays… “Especially when little kids pop in.” Another one commented she was delighted to see they were still out caroling… “Especially little ones,” she added.

Cavalier Clothing employees took time out from their duties for a mini-concert from the four and five-year-olds. “Our son went to EUM,” said owner Justin Maitlen. “We look forward to it every year…
