Burns Retiring as President & CEO of Greenville National Bank

In November 1974, The Citizen’s Bank of Ansonia hired a young man to work for their bank.  In April 1976, Greenville National Bank purchased the Citizen’s Bank of Ansonia and acquired with it a future president and CEO of Greenville National Bank.  This young man was Steve A. Burns.  Steve was elected as President and CEO of GNB in March, 1992. Under Steve’s leadership, GNB has experienced an excellent and profitable growth period.

“I did not accomplish any of this, but we did.  I sincerely appreciate all that our directors, officers and employees have done to make Greenville National Bank the great organization it is,” stated Burns.  “We do what we do because we genuinely care about the customers we serve.”

After 40 years of service and 23 years as President and CEO of Greenville National Bank, Steve Burns is retiring from those roles.

With gratitude for his service and excellent leadership,  Greenville National Bank invites the community to stop by for an Open House in Steve’s honor on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at GNB’s main office, 446 S. Broadway, during regular business hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
