VFW Voice of Democracy Competition

A teen from your state is in the running to win a $30,000 scholarship from the VFW!

High school students from across the country recorded audio-essays to share "Why I'm Optimistic About Our Nation's Future."

It’s all part of the VFW's Voice of Democracy competition, in which high school students compete for more than $2.2 million in scholarships and incentives.

One lucky winner from each state will qualify for the grand prize, a $30,000 scholarship to the college or trade school of their choice.

The grand-prize winner was announced on Monday, March 3, at the VFW Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.

Show your support for these patriotic teens by sharing their audio clips with your friends and family.

Together, we can celebrate the next generation of proud Americans!
