MVCTC Students Excel at BPA Contest

Clayton, Ohio -- Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Business Professionals of America (BPA) students performed well at the recent BPA Regional Contests with 86 students winning or placing in the top six for their contest. Of the regional winners, 28 qualified to compete at the State BPA Contest in Columbus March 13-14, 2014.

BPA is a national student organization that serves Business and Information Technology students. Members participate in activities that promote leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills, as well as competing in BPA contests related to their career field at the local, regional, state, and national levels.

•    Zachary Arnould (Computer Repair & Technical Support student from Miamisburg) placed First in the PC Servicing & Troubleshooting BPA Regional Contest.
•    Shelbie Ballard (Legal Assistant student from Brookville) placed Second in the Advanced Word Processing BPA Regional Contest.
•    Harley Billhimer (Sports Marketing student from West Carrollton) placed Second in the Digital Design with InDesign - Pilot BPA Regional Contest.
•    Ryan Bright (Computer Network Engineering student from Tri Village) placed First in the Network Design Team BPA Regional Contest.
•    Tearza Callahan (Legal Assistant student from Preble Shawnee) placed First in the Legal Office Procedures BPA Regional Contest.
•    Caitlin Cook (Medical Office Management student from Tippecanoe) placed Second in the Medical Office Procedures BPA Regional Contest.
•    Zarina Crawford (Business Ownership student from Meadowdale) placed Second in the Basic Office Systems & Procedures BPA Regional Contest.
•    Samantha Denlinger (Legal Assistant student from Miami East) placed Second in the Legal Office Procedures BPA Regional Contest.
•    Carly Fink (Business Academy student from Tri County North) placed First in the Interview Skills BPA Regional Contest.
•    Zachary Goings (Computer Technology Academy student from West Carrollton) placed Second in the Database Applications BPA Regional Contest.
•    Spencer Haney (Computer Technology Academy student from Brookville) placed Second in the JAVA Programming BPA Regional Contest.
•    Ashley Hardy (Wayne - Satellite student from Wayne - Satellite) placed Second in the Keyboarding Production BPA Regional Contest.
•    Kelvin Hovatter (Computer Network Engineering student from West Carrollton) placed Second in the Computer Network Technology BPA Regional Contest.
•    Rachel Knobloch (Medical Office Management student from Northmont) placed First in the Medical Office Procedures BPA Regional Contest.
•    Aaron Lockard (Business Ownership student from Wayne) placed First in the Accounting Using Quickbooks BPA Regional Contest.
•    Raymond McDermott (GIS & Technical Intelligence student from Milton Union) placed First in the Database Applications BPA Regional Contest.
•    Tori Minnich (Business Academy student from Versailles) placed Second in the Payroll Accounting BPA Regional Contest.
•    Cody Phipps (Wayne - Satellite student from Wayne - Satellite) placed Second in the Fundamental Word Processing Skills BPA Regional Contest.
•    Colton Puterbaugh (Media & Video Production student from Tri Village) placed First in the Video Production Team BPA Regional Contest.
•    Garrett Rehmert (Media & Video Production student from Vandalia Butler) placed First in the Video Production Team BPA Regional Contest.
•    William Rice (Computer Network Engineering student from Milton Union) placed First in the Network Design Team BPA Regional Contest.
•    Ransome Rowland (Media & Video Production student from West Carrollton) placed First in the Video Production Team BPA Regional Contest.
•    Nathan Scott (Game Programming student from Wayne) will compete in the Computer Programming Concepts State BPA Contest.
•    Reggie Steele (Computer Technology Academy student from Jefferson) placed First in the Graphic Design Promotion BPA Regional Contest.
•    Carly Suttle (Wayne - Satellite student from Wayne - Satellite) placed First in the Digital Media Production BPA Regional Contest.
•    Emily Weaver (Business Academy student from Franklin Monroe) placed First in the Advanced Word Processing BPA Regional Contest.
•    Daniel Wiseman (Business Academy student from Franklin Monroe) placed First in the Fundamental Word Processing Skills BPA Regional Contest.
•    Jessica Wright (Wayne - Satellite student from Wayne - Satellite) placed First in the Digital Design with InDesign - Pilot BPA Regional Contest.
