VHCC welcomes
children for Halloween fun
The residents and staff of Versailles Health Care Center welcomed over
200 children to the health care center for a fun-filled afternoon of
trick-or-treating. The children included neighborhood kids,
grandchildren of residents, and employees’ kids. The kids dressed
up as princesses, witches, cowboys and cowgirls, pirates, and much
more! Candy Stump, Activities Director, said “The residents love
seeing all the kids come through. The smiles on both young and
elderly faces are so rewarding.” Stump would like to thank Bruns
Animal Clinic, Classic Carriers, John’s IGA, Interact Group, Phelan
Insurance Agency, Serendipity Mom’s, Versailles Ace Hardware,
Versailles Dollar General, Versailles Eagles, Versailles Rotary, and
Versailles Schools as well as VHCC staff and families and friends
of residents for donating candy for the event. Versailles Health
Care Center is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that offers
short-term rehab services, outpatient therapy, and long-term
care. Versailles Health Care Center sent home 166 patients that
utilized its short-term rehab services in 2013 and ___ so far in
