Third Annual Drill Demonstration Open House

The Daughters of American Revolution Fort Greenville Chapter in conjunction with Greenville Senior High School NJROTC hosted the Third Annual Drill Demonstration Open House.

The Cadets demonstrated all the elements required for a competition minus Inspection, Physical Fitness, marksmanship and Academic.  They demonstrated Color Guard, Armed Drill, Unarmed Drill Armed Exhibition Drill, Unarmed Exhibition Drill.   The Cadets also had a change of officers ceremony. Cadet Lieutenant Commander Isaiah Hayes, Commander of the Cadets, turned over command to Lieutenant Commander Scott Denman. Cadet Lieutenant Candice Malott became Executive Officer of the Cadets.  She was the 2014 winner of the DAR Bronze ROTC Award

Fort Greeneville Regent Mary Jane Dietrich awarded Chief Petty Officer Shyanne Byers the 2015 DAR Bronze ROTC Award.

The medal is awarded to a Cadet for he/she’s outstanding ability and achievement in the GHS ROTC program. Chief Petty Officer Shyanne Byers marches on three of the drill teams, does administrative duties, maintains a better than 3.6 gpa and is part of the career tech Med Tech Program.

The DAR chapter also presented a monetary donation to the GHS ROTC. Accepting the donation for the cadets was Cadet Lieutenant Commander Isaiah Hayes.

Afterwards the DAR provided drinks and snacks for the Cadets and visitors.
