The complete MVCTC Business Professionals of America (BPA) students qualified to compete in the State BPA
Contest in Columbus, Ohio March 12-13, 2015 are Juniors (top) Lucas Gauldin (Computer Technology student from
Franklin Monroe); Savannah Tate (Business Ownership student from Tri-Village); and Bryant Fox (Business Ownership
student from Ansonia); and seniors (below) Colton Puterbaugh (Media & Video Production student from Arcanum)
and Daniel Wiseman (Business Academy student from Franklin Monroe).


MVCTC Students Excel at BPA Contest

Englewood, Ohio -- Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Business Professionals of America (BPA) students performed well at the recent BPA Region 3 Contests with 129 students winning or placing in the top six for their contest. Of the regional winners, 52 qualified to compete at the State BPA Contest in Columbus March 12-13, 2015.

The following students placed either first or second in their Regional BPA Contest and qualified to compete at the Ohio BPA Contest in Columbus:

Austin Brown, Franklin Monroe MVCTC Business Satellite student, placed 1st in the Banking & Finance Contest
Nychelle Cool, Franklin Monroe MVCTC Business Satellite student, placed 1st in the Small Business Management Team Contest
Grace Fee, Franklin Monroe MVCTC Business Satellite student, placed 1st in the Small Business Management Team Contest
Bryant Fox, Business Ownership student from Ansonia, placed 2nd in the Fundamental Accounting Contest
Lucas Gauldin, Computer Technology student from Franklin Monroe, placed 1st in the Web Site Design Team Contest
Kinsey Goins, Franklin Monroe MVCTC Business Satellite student, placed 1st in the Small Business Management Team Contest
Aaron Hammer, Computer Network Engineering student from Mississinawa Valley, placed 1st in the Network Design Team Contest
Makenzie Kreitzer, Franklin Monroe MVCTC Business Satellite student, placed 1st in the Keyboarding Production contest
Danielle McVey, Franklin Monroe MVCTC Business Satellite student, placed 1st in the Small Business Management Team Contest
Colton Puterbaugh, Media & Video Production student from Arcanum, placed 1st in the Video Production Team Contest
Amber Schoen, Business Ownership student from Ansonia, placed 1st in the Presentation Management—Individual Contest
Savannah Tate, Business Ownership student from Tri-Village, placed 1st in the Human Resource Management Contest
Emily Weaver, Business Academy student from Franklin Monroe, placed 1st in the Advanced Word Processing Skills Contest
Daniel Wiseman, Business Academy student from Franklin Monroe, placed 1st in the Interview Skills Contest

BPA is a national student organization that serves Business and Information Technology students. Members participate in activities that promote leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills, as well as competing in BPA contests related to their career field at the local, regional, state, and national levels.
