Local DAR participates in May First Friday

Fort GreeneVille Chapter participated in Greenville's historical downtown's First Friday event in May. The chapter provided a display of what the DAR is all about and offered information to local women on how to join. Also there was a family friendly activity of local history trivia. At the end of the event, a winner was chosen and received a $10 Darke County Chamber of Commerce gift certificate. County resident Mary Saintignon was the trivia winner.

Below: The chapter made a donation to the Garst Museum Annie's Star Spangled Gala. The donation was a Patriotic Garden theme consisting of a Patriotic Boy and Girl Lawn Ornament, potted flower and patriotic bunting. Pictured: Members Helen Wright and Brenda Arnett.
