Empowering board member holds fundraiser bake sale

GETTYSBURG – Kendra Chalmers, Empowering Darke County Youth board member and vice president, holds her first bake sale fundraiser for 2017. Two fundraisers in 2016 had a significant impact on funding available for the Summer Tutoring and After School Programs.

The recent fundraiser was held courtesy of Lavy’s Corner Mart in Gettysburg. Empowering board members and supporters thank the convenience store for its support. Thanks also goes to Empowering treasurer Krista Stump for the baked goods she supplied.

Next on the agenda… a Community Garage Sale.

Empowering Darke County Youth’s mission is to provide After School and Summer Tutoring programs to assist students in the areas of language arts and math with the goal of Strong Students for a Strong Community.

If you would like to join us please Email empoweringdarkecountyouth@gmail.com or message Facebook Empowering Darke County Youth. We need volunteers and donations… it’s about the kids.
