Aktion Club’s FUNday Monday a FUN Monday!

About 200 people bounced from game to game, gathering tickets earned from “winning” at some of the games scattered around Shelter House 4 at Greenville City Park recently. One young lady sported a fistful of tickets and a huge grin, the tickets to be turned in later for a variety of prizes.

Others were more interested in kickball, cornhole, hot dogs, chips and drinks! Joining the festivities were representatives from the Greenville Police Department and Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

There were lots of smiles… especially after sporting a creative face paint job, winning a prize or witnessing one of a clown’s antics. Impromptu dancing broke out with some of the songs entertaining visitors, ranging from country line dancing to teaching complex dance moves to one of the youngsters in attendance.

The Aktion Club operates under the auspices of Kiwanis of Greenville and is supported by the Darke County Board of Developmental Disabilities. The club wanted to give back to the community for all of the support it has received… and came up with FUNday Monday! It was a winner.
