DD: Always There for Paula
At the age of 43, Paula set out on a new adventure in her life when she
moved from her family’s home into her own home in the community. Paula
is learning to be more independent each day with assistance from her
family and providers. Darke DD made arrangements to have a handicap
accessible ramp built on the front of her home and Paula also requested
an automatic door opener on her back door so she can go outside when
she wants to spend time by herself or visit with neighbors.
Paula says, “I live on my own now. I do things on my own and help
myself.” Paula is always smiling and always trying new things.
