Brinkman Selected for the Prestigious Kabis Internship

COLUMBUS, OH. - The Ohio Federation of Republican Women (OFRW) is pleased to announce that its nominee, Abby Brinkman (Troy, Ohio), was selected by the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) as their choice to receive the prestigious and highly competitive Dorothy Andrew's Kabis Memorial Internship.

Brinkman's exceptional leadership skills, academic success and motivation identified her as one of the most gifted and promising young Ohio Republican College Women. She has been a frequent volunteer with the Republican Party, placing phone calls, knocking on doors and leading the Shawnee State College Republican Club.

Her success is attributable to personal excellence, moral character, and principled future goals. Ms. Brinkman was recommended to the OFRW for consideration by the Miami County Republican Women's Party and the Miami County Republican Women's Club.

"It was a sincere pleasure to choose Ms. Brinkman as our Ohio nominee for the Kabis Internship - she is an outstanding young woman." stated OFRW President Lyn Bliss.

The Dorothy Andrews Kabis Memorial Internship honors the former president of the NFRW (1963-67) who later was appointed U.S. treasurer by President Richard Nixon.

The internship gives female undergraduates the opportunity to spend part of the summer working at the NFRW national headquarters in Alexandria, Va.

Applicants are selected based upon their  general knowledge of government, interest in politics, and campaign experience.

The OFRW congratulates Ms. Brinkman and looks forward to hearing about her future success.

Founded in 1938, the NFRW (www.nfrw.org) proudly represents the party that first made it possible for women to vote in the U.S. Today, the NFRW works to increase the effectiveness and relevance of women in the cause of good government.
