Rotary of Greenville continues its Empowering support

GREENVILLE – The Rotary Club of Greenville recently supported Empowering programs with its annual grant. The club’s support began in 2016 and has continued annually through 2020.

“We are grateful for the Rotary Club’s donations,” said Empowering Executive Director Bob Robinson. “This has been a difficult time for all of us – teachers, parents and especially our students – they need all the help we can provide.”

Empowering Darke County Youth continues to offer virtual tutoring (empoweringdistance101@gmail.com) and is gearing up for the resumption of services on local campuses within permitted guidelines.

Student requests for help have grown every year since Empowering programs began. Robinson said he anticipates this year will be no different. When schools were closed in March, Empowering tutors were working with 133 students in Ansonia and Greenville, and at the Greenville Public Library.

“Our programs work,” Robinson said, “but we need help to continue them.” Financial support can be sent to Empowering Darke County Youth, P.O. Box 1113, Greenville, Ohio 45331. Want more information or success details? Email empoweringyouth101@gmail.com
