Donate ‘Gently Used’ Books

“What do you do when your child ‘out reads’ his or her books? Don’t let them gather dust somewhere… please donate them so they may be used by other children!”

Greenville Kiwanis, as its “Kiwanis One Day” project this year, is asking all parents to donate their child’s ‘gently used’ books – books that the child has outgrown – to the children coming behind them. Feel free to donate new books also.

Students at Woodland Heights, East and South Schools are working to collect books; drop off locations are the Darke County Red Cross, 130 Martz Street, Suite 6, and Brethren Retirement Community. Deadline is Friday, April 1.

All books will be checked for reading levels. Any books not for elementary school use will be donated to the Greenville Friends of the Library book sale.

Greenville Kiwanis is a community service organization dedicated to service to the community and its children. For more information about Kiwanis One go to www.kiwanisone.org. For more information about your local Kiwanis, come to a weekly meeting… every Wednesday at 12 Noon at the Chestnut Village Center in Brethren Retirement Community.
