Intro to Kayaking
Have you always wanted to learn to kayak? Well now is your
chance! Saturday, May 21 at 2pm, the Darke County Parks is
offering an introduction to the kayak. Whether you have never
been in a kayak or you are just looking to refresh old skills, this
program is for you. Join us as we teach you the basic paddle
strokes of a kayak at a local pond. After you learn the basic
skills, we will get into a kayak and out on the water to try them
out. During this fun-filled program, we’ll play games, enjoy the
warm spring weather and maybe even get a little wet. The cost of
the program is $5. Meet at Shawnee Prairie Preserve. Space
is limited so call the Nature Center at 937.548.0165 to
pre-register. Ages 14 and up only and please dress for wet!
