County Republican Pig Roast committee members put the finishing
touches on plans for the
event to be held at 3:30 p.m. October 16.
Featured speaker will be Ohio’s Governor John Kasich.

Kasich to speak at
GOP Pig Roast

Ohio’s Governor John Kasich will be the featured speaker when the Darke
County Republicans hold their annual pig roast at 3:30 p.m. October 16
in the Youth Building on the Darke County Fairgrounds.
Greenville High School’s NJROTC will present the colors and the Darke
County Republican of the Year will be named.
Republican candidate for Darke County Municipal Court Jesse Green,
Republican Candidate for Greenville Mayor Mike Bowers, Republican
candidate for Greenville City Auditor Nancy Myers, Republican Candidate
for Ward 4 Greenville City Council John Baumgardner, and Republican
candidate for Ward 1 Greenville City Council Clarence Godwin have been
invited to speak.
Additionally, Representative Jim Buchy (R-77) will be speaking.
The meal will consist of shredded pork sandwiches, hot dogs, potato
salad, Cole slaw, chips, pretzels, cakes and assorted beverages.
Tickets are free, but you must have a ticket to be admitted. Tickets
are available at Tropical Isle Tanning, 619 South Broadway, Greenville.
Tickets are also available from any elected Republican official or you
may call 548-8511 to request tickets.
To facilitate entry, the committee requests you have the back of your
ticket completed before you arrive at the door.
