Last Chance Reservations for “Crystal Ball” 

Did you go to the Crystal Ball or have you heard others talk about the great dancehall of the past?  Call today for last chance tickets to experience the “Crystal Ball” again.  Join A Learning Place on July 14th and celebrate the local legend “The Crystal Ball” one of the most famous dancehalls in the Midwest during the 50s & 60s.  But the last chance for ticket reservations are July 6, tickets will not be sold at the door. 

This dinner/show event will be held at A Learning Place, 201 RM Davis Parkway, in Piqua, Saturday, July 14, with dinner from 5:30-6:30 pm followed by a tribute to the Crystal Ball by singing duo, “Spittin Image.”

The event will also include a large collection of actual photos of the Big Bands and local people as we reminisce about the days of the legendary Crystal Ball.  Display courtesy of Susie Baltes Barga. 

The dinner prepared by Chef Gwen of the Backyard Bistro, will feature:  Roasted turkey breast served with onion gravy, slow cooked pot roast, red skin mashed potatoes, green beans, mixed greens salad with an assortment of dressings, rolls, and for dessert delicious carrot cake. Drinks include:  Boston Stoker coffee, iced tea, and old fashion lemonade.  While we don’t sell alcoholic beverages, please feel free to bring something to compliment your evening’s enjoyment. 

Ticket price for the event will be $30/person (Great gift idea for an anniversary or birthday). Because there is limited seating NOW is the time to call for tickets. 

Proceeds from this fundraising event will benefit the Council on Rural Services, a nonprofit social service agency providing comprehensive education and support services to children and families in a nine county area of west central Ohio.
