Pullorum
Testing Announced
The Darke
County Agricultural Society will be sponsoring poultry pullorum test
clinics at
the Poultry Barn on the fairgrounds on the following dates:
Wednesday, July
11, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday,
August 1, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
All fancy
chickens, pheasants, quail, and guineas must be tested to show at the
fair. No
flock tests. Everything
you plan to show
must be tested. All
waterfowl (ducks and
geese) are exempt from testing. Turkeys over one year of age in the
breeding
class must be blood tested by a certified veterinarian.
Testing
will be completed by Aaron
Kruckeberg, Cindy Mayo and/or Krista Fourman who are certified with the
Ohio
Poultry Association and the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
