EUM Church...
Benefit Ride/Bike Blessing to be held July 14

NextStep Ministries is holding a Benefit Ride/Bike Blessing on July 14th (rain date 7/21) to raise funds for our NextStep Helps Ministry to benefit the less fortunate in our county.  Registration at 1 pm, ride begins at 2pm.  $15 single or $20 double riders, which includes refreshments and door prizes following the ride.  There will also be live music!  The ride will begin and end at EUM Church’s Sanctuary located at 1451 Sater St in Greenville.  Walk-in donations are also welcome.

NextStep Helps Ministry has been in operation for 6 years in our community through EUM Church of Greenville’s Outreach. This ministry tries to ‘fill in the gaps’ when a family has run out of help from their government benefits, family and friends.  We can usually help with past due or disconnected utilities, gas vouchers for emergencies or pharmaceutical drugs.  There are strict limits on what will and will not qualify for these funds and the amount of money that is offered.  Households may qualify for help every six months.  Due to cuts in government benefits and agencies, more households in our community are struggling to meet their family budgets each month. As a result, our funds are being used up more quickly, so we are trying to find more ways to raise funds for this ministry.
