Brethren Retirement Community
Illumination Celebration and Festival of Trees

Plans are underway for Brethren Retirement Community’s first Illumination Celebration on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 6 PM.  This wonderful event is when the campus of Brethren Retirement Community will turn into a winter wonderland for the residents, both inside and outside. Our goal is to have 20,000+ lights surrounding our pond and the back of our building for the residents to be able to enjoy from their windows.

Brethren Retirement Community invites community groups, businesses, churches, service organizations, employees and individuals to be a part of this magical celebration by placing a decorated Christmas tree inside or outside the facility for all residents, families, guests, and staff to enjoy throughout the holiday season. Trees must be decorated prior to Friday, December 7 and remain in place until January 2, 2013.  A limited number of trees with lights are available for those unable to provide their own.

Each tree will have signage to indicate the group decorating the tree; along with the special “name” they have given their theme tree.

Additionally, Brethren Retirement Community is seeking donations of artificial Christmas trees in like-new condition as well as outdoor, large-scale, lit Christmas decorations in good condition and new strands of Christmas lights.

Anyone interested in participating in this fun event, can contact Holly Hill, (937) 547-7655 or by email holly.hill@bhrc.org.
