Waste Collection Oct. 20
Triple-A Battery exchange for smoke detectors
As promised, we are notifying you of our Household Hazardous Waste
Collection, and appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you. To
participate, you must come to the Darke County Fairgrounds Swine Barn
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and Noon. on October 20, 2012. For this
event, there will be no preregistration.
WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, BUT IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO ONLY
BRING THOSE ITEMS LISTED ON THE ATTACHED PDF FLYER:
We are expecting to collect a large amount of HHW and will be
collecting items on one single day.
During the collection, the hazardous waste contractor will view all of
the items you have for disposal. The contractor will make the final
decision on what will be accepted and rejected. Participants will be
accepted on a “first-come, first-served basis.” DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR
CAR!!!!
You will be asked for your name, address, and driver’s license before
any HHW will be accepted. This information will not be used for
anything other than the district’s records that must be kept on file
for the Ohio EPA.
Please try to follow the time schedule listed on the attached pdf. This
will help with traffic control.
