April 5 - First Fridays: Petting Zoo & Easter Bunny. Bring the family downtown to enjoy a live assortment of friendly, furry animals for First Fridays. April 11 - Jamie-Sue Seal & John Latini. Sparkling chemistry and enormous wit combine with exceptional musicianship when this songwriting duo merge harmonies and blues. April 13 - 60th Season Opener at Eldora Speedway. Eldora kicks off the 60th season of racing with Sunoco American Late Models, UMP DIRTcar Modifieds, and Eldora Stock Cars. Call (937) 338-3815 for tickets or visit www.EldoraSpeedway.com. 

April 18, 19 & 20 - Thoroughly Modern Millie. The Versailles High School Musical Theatre is excited to announce this year’s musical production, the Tony Award Winner, Thoroughly Modern Millie. Performance takes place at the Versailles Performing Arts Center. To order tickets, call 937-526-5590 between the hours of 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students. Saturday's matinee is $5 for all seats. 

April 19 - A Taste of Wine & Jazz: Spring. Enjoy delectable hors d'oeuvres, delicious wine and exceptional entertainment during the Darke County Center for the Arts longest running fundraiser at Montage Cafe in downtown Greenville. April 20 - Nature Day. Shawnee Prairie Preserve will be aflutter with information and free activities for all ages. Children will have the opportunity to have their “passport” stamped at each station for a prize. There will also be hikes and programs scheduled throughout the day. The newest Animal Ambassadors, Joseph the Red-Tailed Hawk and Greta, the Great Horned Owl will be on hand to meet and greet with visitors! April 20 - Garlic Mustard Cook-Off. In collaboration with Nature Day and Earth Day, Darke County Parks is hosting the First Ever Garlic Mustard Cook-off. April 20 - Night of Comedy & Caring. Hosted by the local chapter of the American Red Cross, this year's event features the comic styling of Tim Cavenaugh with fabulous dinner by Romer’s. Enjoy specialty drinks, bid on silent auction items, enter the drawing, while enjoying good conversation and great food with friends. April 27 - Toledo Symphony Orchestra 'Classical Thunder'.
