Just the “Fracks” coming up June 24

GREENVILLE - The other side of the fracking controversy will be presented by the Darke County League of Women Voters on June 24 at 6:30 p.m., Lighthouse Christian Center, 5256 Sebring-Warner Road. 

Featured speakers will be Rhonda Reda, executive director of the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program and the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Foundation, and Shawn Bennett, field director for Depth Ohio. 

According to the LWV, Bennett educates the business community, public officials and members of the community on the safety and economic benefits of responsible oil and gas development in Ohio, especially shale exploration. 

This forum will present the positive side of the fracking issue while a League forum on March 18 presented the negative side of fracking.
