Magnificent Monarchs

The Monarch Butterfly is the most recognized butterfly in North America and it needs our help. Monarch migration is one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, yet it is threatened by habitat loss in North America. This program will occur on Saturday, May 10th at 1:00pm at Shawnee Prairie Preserve. We will cover current trends in population and discuss how you can join the effort to preserve this species. A starter pack of plants may be available you can begin to create your own monarch habitat at home for a fee of $10/kit. Pre-registration is required. Call the Nature Center today at 937.548.0165 to register. Visit our website at www.darkecountyparks.org for more information.
