‘Buckeye’ T-Shirt for December blood drives

DAYTON & DARKE COUNTY, Ohio – Darke County offers several blood drive options in December.  Everyone who registers to donate will receive the “Buckeye Blood Donor” football t-shirt up through December 13th. Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment online at www.DonorTime.com.

December is an exciting month in college football with conference championships on the line, including the Big Ten Championship Dec. 6, and the beginning of the bowl season. CBC is encouraging donors to be champions for saving lives with the “Buckeye Blood Donor” t-shirt.

The charcoal grey t-shirt features a red football helmet with “Buckeye” and the CBC blood drop in a map of Ohio as the team emblem and “Blood Donor” across the chest. It’s free to everyone who registers to donate now through Saturday, Dec. 13 at any CBC Donor Center and most CBC mobile blood drives.

The Christmas and New Year holiday period can be a challenging time for maintaining the community blood supply. Donation schedules are often disrupted due to school vacations, holiday activities and family travel.  CBC reminds donors that if you miss a chance to donate please reschedule when you’re able.
