Bradford Ohio Railroad Museum Joins 8,000+ Nonprofit Organizations to Make History

On May 5, 2015, Bradford Ohio Railroad Museum is participating in Give Local America, a national day of local giving. This event strengthens the foundation of our communities through a 24-hour crowdfunding event that provides critical funding for and celebrates the work of our community partners across the country. In 2014, Give Local America’s first annual event resulted in more than $53 million being donated to local communities in just 24-hours. On May 5, 2015, Give Local America is aiming to double fundraising to more than $100 million with the help of local residents.

Because it is held in partnership with nonprofit organizations and community foundations across the country, Give Local America is gearing up to be the largest online fundraising event in history. “This is a great opportunity for everyone in our community to contribute to the greater good,” said Marilyn Kosier, President of the Bradford Ohio Railroad Museum “Every dollar will go further if you give on May 5th.”

Bradford Ohio railroad Museum is encouraging everyone in the community to be a philanthropist. “A lot of people think you have to be rich to give back, but even the smallest donation can make a big difference,” said Kosier. “Every dollar really does count for a community in need.”
