Dining By Rail attempts to recreate the first class service and entrees that made railroad dining car service such an elegant and delicious affair. There was a peak of over 1,700 dining cars in service in 1930.  Dining By Rail is a reservation only event with the proceeds contributing to the capital improvements at the museum. The museum is raising funds to qualify for the capital appropriation from the State of Ohio. The project will be interpretative educational exhibits designed, built and installed by Exhibit Concepts. Donations can be made online.

The Railroad Festival will be held a little earlier this year on June 13, 2015 to avoid father’s day weekend.

This year there will be the train cake auction with a train auctioned every hour.  There will be a children’s train ride and train related gifts and games.
