Food, Fun and
Education!
Are you interested in learning how to use the Bake Oven? Join us at the
Log House on Friday, May 29th at 9AM as we plan to fire up the
Bake Oven. During this class we will learn the proper way to use
the Bake Oven, what can be made in it, and much more! As the oven
is heating the volunteers will be busy preparing a variety of foods
(breads, muffins, cookies) to be baked in the oven and all who attend
will be able to sample the goodies. Our hopes are to be wrapped up by
4-5PM. The Park District will be providing lunch! The Park
District added the Bake Oven by the Log House area in hopes to use it
as a summer kitchen and for several programs and events such as
Candlelight Dinners and Prairie Days.
All volunteers are welcomed and encouraged to join us as you don’t have
to be a Log House Volunteer to attend. If you are interested in
joining us please let Laura know by Thursday, May 28th.
Please bring your own drinks and dress for the
weather. Hope to see you on the 29th!
