Edison Community College
Art of Recovery showcase and reception

The Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services, together with NAMI of Darke, Miami and Shelby Counties, cordially invite you to attend the Art of Recovery Reception Wednesday October 21 from 5:30 to 7PM in the Myers-Vacarro Art Gallery at Edison Community College in Piqua.

The showcase includes a photo, “Recently Widowed,” by Ruth McDaniel of Greenville. She works for Recovery & Wellness Centers of Midwest Ohio and is an accomplished photographer. She won Best of Show at the Darke County fair last year and this year.

Art of Recovery showcases local artists who have in some way been impacted my mental illness, addiction or recovery – either personally or through a loved one – or whose work reflects recovery in some way. For the first time, 25 select works are on display in the Edison Art Gallery for the month of October. Additional works will be displayed at the reception.

Also at the reception, presentations will be made for the Geraldine B. Nelson Advocacy Award, the Director’s Award, and three special recognitions for artists.

Light refreshments will be served. No RSVP is required.

The Edison Art Gallery is located between South Hall and East Hall on Edison’s Piqua Campus off Looney Road in Piqua.

We hope to see you there!
